They say how you start your morning sets the tone for your entire day.
After months of trial and error, I’ve finally created a morning routine that boosts my focus, energy, and motivation — and I’m sharing it with you!
If you're looking to wake up early and actually get stuff done, keep reading 👇
⏰ 1. Wake Up at 6:00 AM — No Snooze!
I set my phone across the room so I have to physically get up.
Pro tip: Use a sunrise alarm clock to wake up naturally.
Why it works:
Getting up early = quiet time + full control of your day.
💧 2. Drink a Full Glass of Water
Before anything else — not even coffee!
Hydrating first thing jumps-starts your metabolism and helps your brain wake up.
Try adding lemon for an extra detox effect 🍋
🧘♀️ 3. 10-Minute Meditation (I Use Headspace)
I used to skip this, but now it’s my favorite part.
Just 10 minutes of breathing helps me reduce anxiety and stay calm under pressure later in the day.
Apps I recommend: Headspace, Insight Timer, or YouTube
📓 4. 5-Minute Journaling
I use the 3-3-3 method:
- 3 things I’m grateful for
- 3 things I want to get done today
- 3 affirmations ("I am focused", "I am enough", etc.)
It’s simple, quick, and keeps me mentally organized.
🏃♂️ 5. 20-Minute Workout (Bodyweight or Walk)
Whether it’s a quick HIIT session or a walk around the block, moving my body wakes up my brain and beats the morning grogginess.

☕ 6. Slow Breakfast + No Phone
I make overnight oats or eggs and eat without scrolling.
Instead, I listen to a podcast or read 5 pages of a book.
(No doom-scrolling allowed before 8AM!)
🧠 7. Plan My Top 3 Priorities
Before I open my laptop, I write down 3 must-dos for the day.
This keeps me from falling into “busy work” and helps me focus on what matters most.
I use the Notion app to stay organized, but a paper planner works too.
💡 Final Thoughts
You don’t have to copy this routine exactly — find what works for you and build from there.
Even waking up 30 minutes earlier can change your life more than you think!
